FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Will My Puppies Come with registration papers?

Yes, all of our puppies are sold with a registration application to either AKC or CKC. We do reserve the right to sell with limited registrationUpon request for paperwork

What breed association will my puppy be registered through?

We have both AKC, CKC, and ARA parents. Information on each individual litter will explain what association that specific litter will be registered through.

Can I breed my puppy as an adult?

We sell with both full and limited registrations. Specific registration information will be available per litter. Also, we only health guarantees our puppies as “pet” quality, so future reproductive issues will not be included.

How old must the puppy be for me to take it home?

Puppies must be at least 8 weeks before they are eligible to be shipped. However, if you plan to pick up your puppy yourself, we can decide for a sooner release, provided the puppy is ready. The puppy will need its series of vaccinations before we release them early.

What food do you feed?

We feed Pedigree Adult Dog Food to our adult dogs. When our mommas are getting close to whelping, we switch them to Pedigree Puppy food. We leave mommas on this feed until the puppies are weaned. All puppies are started on this feed and samples are sent with them to their new homes.

How much do I feed my puppy?

We start feeding our puppies start off on 1/3 cup x 3 times a day.

Do you think leashes are better than harnesses?

We only use harnesses, so it is less stress on their neck. However, we suggest you start with leash and then switch over to harness.

How old should my puppy be to start obedience/potty training?

We believe that the puppy should start to learn what is allowed in your home the minute arrives. Corgis are very soft hearted and don’t take yelling or harsh correction very well. We suggest you use a soft voice/hand and consistency when training your puppy.

What kinds of toys do you recommend?

Puppies are like children and will become bored with a toy after a short while. We suggest different types of toys as long as they are safe with no tags or long parts to get tangled in and hurt/choke. Should your puppy begin to chew bits and pieces off the toy, toss it in the trash and buy a new one? Teething toys are particularly important at a young age. Squeaky toys are fun as well. A good idea is to only give a few toys each day, switching out with different toys the following day, etc. That helps prevent boredom.

What kind of vaccinations and dewormings do you give?

We also deworm with Pyrantel at 2, 4 & 8 weeks and with Fenbendazole for 3 days at 6 weeks. We will provide a record of the above for you to take to your veterinarian for follow-up. All puppies get their first-round puppy shots at 7 weeks (includes Canine Distemper, Parvovirus Bordetella

Do you provide vet papers?

Yes, we do provide a health check by a licensed veterinarian.

Do you offer a 1 year health guarantee?
